02 — Concept
The goal was to create a playful commercial that captures the excitement of playing Hitster with friends. As players scan a song, the viewer is taken on a fast-paced journey through a musical timeline spanning multiple decades before returning to the game, transforming a simple gameplay mechanic into a memorable visual adventure.
03 — PRODUCT REFERENCES
Before production began, I gathered reference images of the Hitster game box, cards, and tokens to ensure accurate product details throughout the commercial.
04 — Story Development
Before production began, I designed the four main characters and created a storyboard to establish the commercial's pacing, visual language, and narrative. These early concepts served as the blueprint for every scene that followed.

05 — Bringing the Story to Life
Building the Story
Using the storyboard as a guide, I generated each scene individually while matching the product references and maintaining consistent character appearances. During production, several scenes were reordered and refined to better match the pacing and overall vision of the commercial before being animated into the opening sequence.

Designing the Timeline Transition
The transition from scanning the QR code into the musical timeline is the centerpiece of the commercial. The original AI animation established the basic movement but lacked the energy needed for the moment. Using Premiere Pro, I enhanced the sequence with camera shake, RGB chromatic aberration, and rotation to transform it into a much more dynamic and energetic transition.

Bringing the Game Mechanics to Life
To demonstrate the game's core mechanic, I animated a custom sequence in After Effects over a stylized cosmic background. The cards fly into the scene and arrange themselves as a timeline, while the scanned QR card hovers above them until a position on the timeline is chosen. The card then flips over, revealing the song and confirming whether the placement was correct.

Returning to the Real World
Once the correct card is revealed, the commercial transitions back into the living room. Similar to the timeline transition, the original AI animation was enhanced in Premiere Pro with additional motion, impact effects, and camera movement to create a more exciting return to the real world.

06 — Final Product Shot
The commercial concludes with a hero product shot featuring the Hitster game box in sharp focus while the friends remain softly blurred in the background. Floating cards and game tokens reinforce the playful atmosphere before ending on the tagline: One Song. One Guess. Endless Memories.
07 — Editing, Sound & Final Polish
With every AI-generated scene complete, the final stage focused on transforming individual clips into a cohesive commercial. I created a custom soundtrack using Suno, rearranged it to match the pacing of the edit, synchronized key moments to the music, and carefully integrated sound effects throughout the commercial to enhance the impact of each scene. Motion graphics, transitions, and audio were combined to create a more immersive, energetic, and memorable viewing experience.
08 — Final thoughts
This project demonstrates how AI can accelerate the production of animated commercials while traditional filmmaking techniques remain essential. Storyboarding, editing, motion graphics, sound design, and pacing were all critical in transforming independently generated scenes into a cohesive commercial with a clear narrative and a strong visual identity.
